Syosset Robotics Hosts Regional Workshop

Members of the Syosset High School robotics program recently served as hosts for the FIRST Tech Challenge robotics scrimmage and workshop. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an organization that sponsors a variety of robotics competitions to inspire young people to build science, engineering, and technology skills that inspire innovation and foster self-confidence and leadership characteristics. Students who participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge design, build and program aspects of robot development. This student-led event was held at the Composite Prototyping Center in Plainview.
